Anti-wrinkle treatment FAQs

  1. Do the injections hurt?

Patients generally report that the injections are far less uncomfortable than they had expected. We minimise the discomfort to patients in a number of ways. Any injections administered are done in a quiet, peaceful room in an unhurried and careful way. Ice or an anaesthetic cream can be used to numb the skin prior to injection. The injections are given with an extremely fine, small needle, and are done slowly to minimise any discomfort felt.

  2. How long does the treatment take?

Treatments can be provided on the same day during an appointment if required and generally take less than 10 minutes.

  3. How will I look afterwards?

It is likely you will be able to see very small red marks in the skin at the sites of your injections. This is normal and these fade quickly, usually within 15-20 minutes, although sometimes they will be visible for 1-2 hours afterwards.

  4. What should I do afterwards?

You can continue your day normally after treatment! There are no restrictions regarding what you can or cannot do. It is safe to return to work, to exercise, to drink alcohol, or simply to lie down and relax. These normal day to day activities do not affect your treatment in any way.

Dermal Filler FAQs

  1. Do the injections hurt?

As with anti-wrinkle injections, patients generally report the injections are far less uncomfortable than they expected. Depending on the type of filler used and the location of treatment, discomfort can be minimized either by using ice, an anaesthetic cream to numb the skin or even a local anaesthetic injection if required.

  2. How long does the treatment take?

Treatment with dermal filler generally takes a little longer than for anti wrinkle treatments, but usually takes less than 20 minutes.

  3. How will I look afterwards?

The aesthetic results of dermal filler injection are immediate. The full effect can take 2-3 days to become apparent.

  4. What should I do afterwards?

You can return to your normal day to day activities after your treatment.
